MATTHEW GAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL RECEIVES THE NATIONAL PARENT AND TEACHER ASSOCIATION SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

How can you maintain parents' and students' interest in education? Ask Matthew Gage Middle School, RUSD's recent recipient of the National Parent and Teacher Association School of Excellence Award.
According to research, children with involved parents or guardians are more likely to succeed academically, attend class frequently, have stronger social skills, remain enrolled, and pursue postsecondary education.
The School of Excellence Program aims to:
• Provide a framework for PTAs
• Build inclusive and welcoming school communities where all families contribute
• Help PTAs attract new, action-oriented PTA members
• Provide step-by-step guidance and networking opportunities for PTAs
• Celebrate designees

Matthew Gage Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association first won the Unit of the Year designation for 2021-2022, followed by the National PTA School of Excellence Award.
